Monsoon: Mostly rains at night, making the following days crispy clean and fresh. Most of the northern belt of the Trans-Himalayan zone is rain-shadowed and ideal for trekking.
Currency: Rupee. Denominations RS 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000. Coins 5 ,10, 25, 50, RS 1 , 2 and 5. Foreign currency must be exchanged with authorized foreign currency dealers only. One is allowed to exchange 15% of total spending in Nepal back into foreign currency upon production of receipts at the time of departure

Religion : 89% Hindus, 6% Buddhists and rest Muslims, Jains, Bons and Christians.
